NYSB’s Note: we’re psyched to present our first guest post from OG Shut Pro, SkateDaily blogger & friend Derek Rinaldi!

Just as the sun was setting over Brooklyn and Mollusk Surfshop this past Saturday night, a crowd had been gathering in preparation for the final night of Six Stair Production’s mini-tour showcasing Creature’s skate/horror film Blood Shed.

As with the previous screenings in Ocean City, Montauk, Baltimore and Philadelphia, “Buddy” Nichols and Rick Charnoski were about to curate an event that would combine skating, music, art and friends.

In addition to the BBQ and movie screening, the Mollusk event featured unseen footage of Andy Kessler as well as raffles for shirts, DVD’s and a 9′9″ longboard with funds raised benefiting the Andy Kessler Foundation.

The weather was perfect, the food was great and from the seats we were able to commandeer, we had a panoramic view of the entire event, of the films and of Justin Strubing and Travis McCormack tearing apart the bank to wall, kinked 1/4 whip.

It should also be mentioned that our good friend Bosco, who upon winning the raffle for the surfboard, decided he had no use for it and promptly sold it, donating half of the proceeds to the foundation.  A perfect way to end a perfect night in Brooklyn.
