We spent Saturday out in Rockaway this weekend for (2) events setup to help support the Rockaway Project. First was a little contest held at the location of the Rockaway skate park which was washed away in Hurricane Sandy. Steve Rodriguez mc’d the contest as kids of all ages skated the temporary wooden ramps for a shot at a few hundred bucks for best trick. After the contest we headed over to the beach and chilled for a bit. Then around 6PM we headed over to the Rockaway Beach Surf Club for an art opening/fundraiser supporting Project Rockaway.
