Part II: Location
The contest is held inside the Astral Fountain skate park (Flushing Meadows Park – Queens, NY) which requires tickets to enter. Outside the park will be a Festival Village which is open to the public for free. The best way to get to the MMC site is to take the 7 Train to Mets/Willets Stadium. When you exit the station walk towards the Unisphere. MMC site is next to the NY State Pavillion (walk time is approx. 8 minutes).

Part V: Contest Details
MEN’S PRO STREET – 48 of the world’s best pro skateboarders compete for a shot at the $160,000 first prize (qualifiers and semi- finals on Saturday, finals on Sunday). Total prize purse is $300,000. The skaters whose combined scores from MMC NY and MMC D.C. land them in the top 12, will earn a spot on the Maloof All Pros and will be flown to Kimberley, South Africa to compete in the first-ever Maloof Money Cup World Skateboarding Championships Sept. 30-Oct 2.

VITAMIN WATER AM OPEN – The best amateur skateboarders in the world battle it out for a chance to win $1,000, a one-year supply of vitaminwater and a trip to MMC South Africa and a spot in the open qualifiers at the first-ever world skateboarding championships in Kimberley, Sept. 30 – Oct. 2.

MASTERS OF STREET – Witness the pro skateboarding legends, who helped transform the skateboarding world into what it is today, as they demo their skills on the street course Sunday. Masters of Street features pro skaters Christian Hasoi, Steve Steadham, Lance Mountain, Eddie Reatigui, Pat Ngoho, Frankie Hill, Ron Allen and more.

HIGH OLLIE CONTEST – This contest is for the public. Qualifiers will take place Saturday in the Festival Village from 10am to 6pm. The top three (who successfully land the highest ollies) get a chance to compete on the street course in front of thousands of fans on Sunday. Winner takes $500.

BEST LINE CONTEST – This contest is for the public and will take place in the Festival Village. Winner of the New York line contest will join winners from 12 cities across the country who win spots during the Maloof Road Tour (beginning in Chicago on June 11) in Las Vegas for the finals August 22 and 23 during MAGIC, the fashion industry’s largest tradeshow.
