Shelter Skate Park (Albany, NY) has closed. We started to notice a few comments on Facebook and after searching a bit it looks to be true. Drop-In was going to take over the park but the landlord didn’t give them a chance. posted the following comments on Facebook – “we were [going to take over the park] but the landlord rented the space on us… shelter is closed, ramps destroyed or sold, landlord owned the ramps and needs the space cleaned out by tomorrow [8/31/2011]”. A true reminder that if you don’t support your indoor parks they will disappear. R.I.P. Shelter!
