If you’re between the ages of 14-19 and have an interest for iPhone apps & games definitely check out the Kickflip Program via The Harold Hunter Foundation, Parsons/The New School for Design & City Lore. Apply online for a chance to attend weekly workshops where you will work with other NYC skaters (3 afternoons a week in July and August) to invent and design apps just for skateboarders.
No previous game design, app building, or technical skills necessary. Workshop participants will get everything they need to build and program a fully functional skateboard that can send real-time information about tricks to a mobile device. Workshops are taught by professional designers and educators from Parsons/The New School.
