Alumni skate shop in Nyack, NY will be hosting Justin White’s “Tell Mom I’m Sorry” art show tonight from 7pm – 10pm. Justin’s “Creatures” provide him with a sense of order, and act as a shield against the unpredictability and lurking chaos of the outside world. His creatures are the common denominators in his personal environment, and his work is an expression of the different forms this shield takes, altering them to reflect the attitudes, fears and experiences which have formed his environment and his reaction to it. Justin’s work is highly influenced by the work of Don Pendleton. “For me it’s all about the process and getting to see them finished and feeling less alone.”
