NYSkateboarding.com (2009 – 2021)

As of January 1st, 2022 we’ve decided to archive the website but will continue updating our Instagram account (@nyskateboarding). Huge thank you to our sponsors and everyone who helped contribute content throughout our 12+ years!

Rick S. grew up skating New York and wanted to create a website to connect the history, events, news, people, websites, products and places that make up the New York skateboarding scene. He enlisted the help of photographer, videographer, and skate nerd friends to build and maintain the site which includes an often updated blog, an events calendar, a products page featuring New York based brands, and a Places section featuring websites, skateparks, and skate shops from across the state. You can also find NYSkateboarding on Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, YouTube, and Vimeo.

Skateboarding in New York never sleeps and neither does NY Skateboarding, constantly coving all manor of skate events going on. Wether hosting or covering events NY Skateboarding is always on their game with quick and comprehensive coverage. They recently gave away 100 Maloof Money Cup tickets through their Facebook page and held a best line contest with a $1000 cash prize. All this after only a year online.

Locals and visitors alike will find NY Skateboarding to be an invaluable website for keeping up with what is going on in the New York skate scene. Having achieved so much in just a year and with the backing of New York’s finest skaters and brands one can expect very big things from NY Skateboarding in the coming years. Do yourself a favor and like their Facebook page, follow their Twitter stream, subscribe to their YouTube videos, and check the site often then make your way to New York City to experience it all for yourself.
