This Saturday, July 13th kicks off the second year of the NYC Pool series where you can see some of the best pool skateboarding in NYC. We all know New York is a big street skating town, but we also have a very vibrant transition and pool skating scene. The first event this year will be at Chelsea’s Pier 62 Skatepark on Saturday July 13th, followed by Owls Head Skatepark Pool later this year.
This year Chelsea Pier 62 will host the series from 12pm to 5pm, with four competitions and prizes for Groms (13 and under), a Women’s division and two Men’s divisions: 35 and older and under 35s, in that order. Our skateboard DJ will be Pork Chop again, we love Pork Chop. We are looking forward to 2020 when the new Riverside Skatepark pool finishes construction in time for the third annual NYC Pool Series when it returns in 2020.
If the turnout is anything like the Cold Man Jam, it’s gonna be an awesome party.
