Unfortunately STOOPS Magazine did not make their goal via Kickstarter but Eby Ghafarian is still going for it. He sent out the following update. Read it below.

Hello backers!

So the bad news is that we didn’t get to our $20k goal…but that is okay. Seriously. We made tremendous progress! We did get over $8,300 in pledges, which is nothing to scoff at. AND we got tons of exposure: Vice, Milk, NY Skateboarding, SLAP, Complex, 43 Magazine, Bedford+Bowery, and the Forty Deuce Show on East Village Radio, with lots of posts/shares from other sites internationally (Canada, U.K., France, Japan). Our Photo Show / Fundraiser last Thursday was a great success too. We would like to thank every single one of you. You have faith in us and we won’t let you down!

Now to the good news…we are trying it again! But this time with a lower goal that will be used as the bare bones amount to get Stoops out to a limited audience. Anything more we raise will go specifically toward distribution. We will have another event for those in the area too. No money was taken from any of you since we did not reach our goal, and I understand that some of you may not re-pledge, but with this new campaign coming, I would appreciate you all sticking with us. If you all re-pledged the same amount, we would pass the goal on day one and the rest is just to grow our distribution. We have other opportunities that arose today that can help get Stoops back to where we want to be, as well. I will be keeping you all in the loop with everything as it happens, but stick with us and we can show the world why it’s worth it. I’ll let you know about the new campaign as soon as it launches.

You are all amazing.
