Vans is partying around the globe celebrating their 50th anniversary. We got the chance to attend their NYC stop at the House of Vans, Brooklyn last Wednesday night with live performances by Nas & Yeasayer. Some photos below from an amazing evening with Vans.
Vans Legends, Pros & Ams were celebrating all night. From Tony Alva to Lizzie Armanto, this photo captures every generation and evolution of Vans skaters.
Our own Alex Corporan was tapped to curate the photos for the event showcasing some Vans’ history in New York throughout the years.
Only with 50 years in the game could you have a mix of pros spanning from Tony Alva to Rowan Zorilla. Heavy hitters here: Steve Caballero, Tony Alva and Christian Hosoi.
Along with all the free food and drinks, guests were invited to make a free custom pair of Vans slip-ons right there on the spot with custom embroidery.
The HOV party wouldn’t be complete without some music. The crowd got to experience live performances by Yeasayer and the headliner – Nas.
Steve Van Doren and the Vans team got on stage to share an epic cake modeled after the original Vans shoe boxes.
