Summer is packing it in and on its way into the rearview for 2019. I’m torn, because as much as I love summer fall is by far my favorite time of year to skate. After spending six weeks in Florida the cooler temperatures and lower humidity has me hyped. With the cooler temps comes the time to break out the long sleeves and heavier garments so let’s take a look at what HUF has to offer for fall 2019.

I first skated with Salomon Cardenas out in SF a couple years ago when he was living with my buddy Anthony Guinta. His style of skating and positive attitude quickly made him one of my favorite locals at Soma West. Right here he’s rocking the Feels Good Fishtail Parka Jacket. It reminds me of Thrasher’s classic “Why can’t my Boyfriend Skate” graphic and as an Air Force vet I’m a sucker for military style olive-drab garb. The cotton-twill blend ensures durability, and let’s face it with a price tag of $140 it better be.

The inspiration for many of the pieces being offered in the collection comes from a play on the whole post-apocalyptic future thing. This adaptation of the hazardous materials signage is pretty sick. Photographer’s will tell you how yellow shirts pop in photos and even more so at night. So as those warm summer nights roll into fall I’m backing this Hazard Long Sleeve T-shirt.

See what I mean about yellow in photos?

Another staple of the cooler temps in everyone’s closet is the flannel. For that part of the collection HUF brings you the John BDU Long Sleeve Woven Shirt, crafted from pure cotton flannel in a shadow plaid design. Cut with a button closure and pointed collar, it has two pockets on the chest blending fashion and function.

There’s a whole lot more to see over on the HUF site so go check it out. Some of my favorite parts of their fall lookbook is the accessories that HUF is so good at. The Dusk blanket, Fuck It Canteen, and swiss army knife will come in handy on those fall camping trips. Of course, their sock game is still on point, too. Keep scrolling for some other photos from the lookbook.
